May 16 - World Embroidery Day. The idea of the holiday is the preservation of Ukrainian values and their popularization among young people and the general population. The holiday does not provide for mandatory measures, except for putting on an embroidered shirt. Although throughout history, events, at the initiative of students, schoolchildren, public and cultural figures, concerts, hikes, contests, parties, fairs have been held.
The very same holiday invites every conscientious citizen to a completely simple act - to put on an embroidered shirt and go to work or study in it. At the same time, such an action has a deep context, because we are talking about expressing one's national and civic position, cultural education and spiritual consciousness. Experience shows that people on Embroidery Day are always elevated and smiling, because many symbols of strength, prosperity, beauty and amulets are encoded in ancient clothes.
On this day, interesting contests are traditionally organized in the network, for example, "The best embroidered shirt" or "The best photo in an embroidered shirt". Photos in embroidered shirts are posted on the network not only by residents of Ukraine, but also by Ukrainians abroad.
In support of this tradition, Grid West has introduced its own flash mob! On May 16, the company's employees put on an embroidered shirt for work, took pictures in it against the background of the logo, or any other symbols of the company, uploaded a photo to Facebook or Instagram and marked the company's profile on it. According to the terms of the competition, the author of the photo, which gained more preferences at the end of the day, received a present from the company - a set of branded gifts and a certificate for dinner for 2. And according to the results, the victory was won by the HR manager of our company, Klepach Lyudmila.
