The world's longest mesh fence

Did you know that the length of the world's longest mesh fence is 5614 km?
It was installed in Australia back in 1885 to protect sheep from dingoes. There is also another 3,253 km long mesh fence, which was built in order to protect Australian lands from rabbits.
About 15 million Australian dollars are spent annually on the maintenance of these fences, and special patrols ply along the fence looking for underground holes and damage in the net.
