Wire mesh fence

Wire mesh Rabitz is probably one of the simplest and most accessible materials for garden fencing. The fence from such grid is reliable, practical and durable, and its installation is very simple and fast. The grid is sold in rolls, so there will be no problems with the transportation of this material for the construction of the fence, it fits perfectly in the trunk of even a small car.

It should be noted that during many years of operation, this building material has proven itself at its best. At the same time, the appearance on the market of construction products more technological and convenient plastic, concrete, wrought iron fences, as well as fences made of metal profile has led to what has become commonplace for many members of the older generation Rabitsa mesh was temporarily in the shadows.

But all this does not mean that this convenient and cheap building material began to take previously won positions. To date, a number of parameters of the chain link fence is not only not inferior to most of these new products, but also continues to compete successfully with them.

Often, owners of summer cottages and residents of suburban private estates are interested in the question: what material to make a fence, how to install it properly, and where exactly you can use such a fence.

The fence from Rabitsa can be applied to:

  • country sites;
  • private territories;
  • sports grounds;
  • parks;
  • fencing and strengthening of reservoirs;
  • poultry houses and livestock detachments;
  • areas with greenery, where the fence of the grid will not block the sunlight.

Advantages of a fence from a chain-link fence

- saving financial resources. The price of a fence from a grid of the Chain link is practically the lowest of all possible options of a fence. The competition in the price can make only that from branches from branches, but in durability and quality it loses;

- light weight. No need for a massive frame or foundation filling;

- strength and resistance to environmental factors: moisture, temperature changes, ultraviolet light, mechanical damage;

- light transmission. The fence from a chain-link fence does not create obstacles for penetration of sunlight, so, on a site there will be no shaded zones and plants will feel comfortably in any part of it;

- undemanding in care and absence of need of repair;

- ability to withstand significant loads. For example, a wooden fence is easier to break than to break a metal net;

- accessibility. You can buy a chain link fence in any hardware store;

- a wide range allows you to choose the one that best suits your specific needs;

- installation speed.

To install a fence made of netting, you must first prepare the materials for work, pre-determining their number:

  • we measure a site of protections on perimeter, for this purpose we put four angular columns and we start up a cord on them. Its length is the amount of material in length;
  • once you have calculated the required amount of grid, it will be easier for you to calculate the number of support columns and other auxiliary materials.

In addition to the grid, we need:

  • wooden or metal poles;
  • wire or cable for fasteners.

Installation of columns

You can use metal or wooden columns. The first option is stronger and more durable. But wooden poles are also good, but when you install them, you need to pre-treat the pole at one end, which you will insert into the ground, with a special mastic that has waterproofing properties.

First of all, you need to prepare the holes for the supports of the fence, which are usually dug by hand. The working depth of the pit is calculated according to the classical scheme, according to which it should be at least one third of the height of the support, while at the bottom is a special "cushion" of compacted mixture of gravel and sand.

The columns installed in the pit are then filled with soil, which is also carefully compacted. Metal fence supports are subject to mandatory concreting, and you can also prepare the concrete mixture yourself.

You will need:

  • one part of cement;
  • three parts of sand;
  • five pieces of rubble.

For the Rabitz grid one and a half meters high, the columns are placed at a distance of no more than 2-2.5 m.

Installation of a grid on columns

Installation of a grid of a chain-link fence begins, as a rule, from one of angular columns. It is fastened to wooden poles with the help of special brackets, and to metal supports - with the use of special fasteners, which come complete with columns.

The load-bearing wire is fastened on the columns placed at regular intervals, and the Rabitz net itself is simply tied to them, having previously fixed it from each end (see the figure).

After fastening of a grid on the first support it is necessary to unwind a roll gradually and to fix it on all subsequent supports in the same way. The chain link is stretched as tightly as possible to prevent it from sagging in the future.

The Rabitz grid is issued with cells of various form that however does not play any role at its installation. Except for the aesthetic part. If it is necessary to increase the ended roll, then two rolls can be fastened together by a separate spiral which is included in a set in each roll of a grid.

To prevent water and excess moisture from getting inside the posts, it is desirable to cover them from above with special plugs that come with the feet and which, in addition to protection, can play a decorative function.

As you can see, the chain-link fence as a fence is an excellent and economic decision for a protection of your site. You will save not only money, but also time for installation of a fence as it can be installed quickly independently. And the advantages of such a fence are many: it protects against unwanted penetration, and transmits light in the right amount.
