Installation of a fence from a grid the Rabitz consists of the following stages:
1. Marking.
2. Installation of columns.
3. Unwinding the roll of mesh.
4. Installation of a cloth of a fence.
5. Connection of grids of a grid.
Marking
It all starts with the marking, which is easiest to do with a cord. The cord is stretched around the perimeter of the entire barrier area. With the help of pegs we mark the places of installation of metal or concrete fence posts.
The optimal distance between the posts for the fence from the chain link fence is a distance of not more than 3 meters. After marking, it will immediately become clear how many total columns will be needed.
The length of the posts depends on the width of the grid you are going to use. For example, if you use a standard width grid (1.5 meters), the length of the pole should be up to 2.5 meters. At a grid width of 1.8 meters - the length of the column up to 3 meters, at a width of 2 meters - the length of the column - up to 3.3 meters. For corner posts, as well as for posts on which gates and wickets will be installed, the length should be more than 30 - 50 cm, as the load on these posts will be greater than on all others. Iron columns with a diameter from 50 mm to 100 mm can be used as columns.
Pallets, columns must be prepared, ie carefully cut, if the workpieces were covered with rust - treat with a rust converter, and then painted. The ideal option would be if the billets for the columns are galvanized.
Installation of columns
With the help of a garden drill holes are dug under the pillars. The diameter of the hole should be larger than the diameter of the column by 2 - 3 cm.
The depth of the hole should be such that when lowering the column, its height should be up to 10 cm greater than the width of the net. It is necessary to remember also that corner columns, and also columns on which gates and wickets fasten, need to be buried in the earth on 50 cm deeper.
Preparation of holes requires a certain dexterity and accuracy.
It is necessary not only to observe vertical installation of columns, but also to align columns among themselves in a row, and also to observe one height for all columns. Installed in the holes and aligned columns or compacted around the ground, or filled with concrete mortar (if the ground is sandy or light loam).
It should be noted that if the soil is clay or heavy loam, it is better not to use concrete. And here's why: in the rainy season (spring, autumn) in the holes in the gap between the concrete and the walls of the hole will seep, and water will accumulate at the bottom. In winter, the water will freeze and push the column out of the concrete. In light soils this does not happen because water will seep deeper into the bottom of the hole.
Unwinding a roll of mesh
At least two people are required to unwind a roll of netting. First of all, the roll of mesh is released from the binding, which is tied and removed wrapping paper or polyethylene. After the roll of mesh is laid on a flat surface, turning it so that the end of the canvas was at the bottom. The roll is unwound, I rotate it around its axis, unfolding the unwound grid in a stretched form.
When engaging the ends of the spiral, stop stretching and disengage the tangled ends of the spiral.
The edges of the canvas should be smooth, if they are inverted, it is necessary to correct by turning the spirals around its axis in one direction or another, the cell is formed and the edge is aligned.
Installation of a fence cloth.
After installation of columns and unwinding of a roll of a grid it is possible to start installation of a cloth of a fence from a chain-link fence.
To do this, first drill holes in the pillars at the top, middle and bottom where the stretch wire will pass. The diameter of the hole should be 10-12 mm.
The unwound roll of a grid is put vertically, the bent ends of lines upwards. The extreme row of the grid is fixed to the top of the column and carefully set the unwound roll of the grid in the direction of the next column. Next, prepare an equal, without sharp bends, a piece of wire, the length of which is greater than the distance between the posts by 50 - 60 cm. This wire is passed through the second top cell of the grid. When the wire is passed through the cells at a distance equal to the distance between the poles, the ends of the wire are pulled into the holes of the poles, and, pulling, fix it on the poles. All actions are repeated on each flight.
Without pulling the fence wire from the netting, the netting can be unusable very quickly (just try to climb over it and the net will stretch and will not regain its shape). The tension wire will protect the fence from stretching the net.
Connection of grids of a grid
The mesh webs are connected quite simply: first the extreme spring row is unscrewed from the roll of mesh, and then, having superimposed the edges of the splicing rolls, we intertwine the previously twisted row into the superimposed edges of the two mesh webs. Thus, a solid mesh fabric is obtained.
Shorten the roll if necessary even easier: just turn the spring string to the desired length of the roll.
